#FeedTheHood – Black August Edition
This month's #FeedTheHood Project, hosted by DC Black United Front, is our Black August Edition, honoring a legacy of service, self-determination, political education, and community empowerment.

Inspired by the historic community survival programs of the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense, this initiative recognizes that caring for one another is one of the most powerful forms of community organizing. The Black Panther Party demonstrated that strengthening communities meant not only advocating for justice, but also addressing immediate needs through programs such as free breakfasts for children, health initiatives, clothing distribution, and community education.
