About the event

We’ll be gathering at the Anacostia Neighborhood Library for a conversation rooted in African/Black psychology, spirituality, joy, connection, and collective care. We are especially excited to feature members of our own DC community: Dr. Mark Bolden, Mr. Colin Byrd, Dr. Lakira Smith, and Ms. Valerie Taylor.

🕟 4:30 PM

This is an important opportunity for us to show up together for our community and affirm that suicide prevention is not only about crisis—it is also about belonging, culture, Spirit, purpose, joy, and creating conditions where Black people can live fully.

Our lives are sacred. Our healing is communal. Our joy matters. 🖤🌿
